Swing City Productions seeks 12" Vinyl LP release of This is Vintage Now

Franchise currently seeking label representation.

This is Vintage Now

Los Angeles, Calif.Swing City Productions, producers of the pioneering and critically acclaimed compilation This is Vintage Now, are currently seeking to partner with a record label to release This is Vintage Now and its forthcoming follow up, This is Vintage Now Vol. 2, on 12” vinyl LP format. This is Vintage Now has been available as an MP3 album through major online music outlets since June 21, 2011, and has maintained steady sales throughout the world in both download and streaming formats.

"Vinyl has become quite a successful cottage industry, especially here in Los Angeles," compilation producer David Gasten said recently. "We released This is Vintage Now to meet the needs of a large, untapped demand for a deeply authentic-feeling, 1950's-style experience. This group of people are currently at home, watching Turner Classic Movies and Netflix, and wishing for an escape into a world like what they see and feel in the media of those times."

"This is Vintage Now's initial combined budget was just under $3,000 USD," Gasten says. "The album has made back this initial investment on its own through word of mouth and Internet discovery, and will be turning a profit starting in approximately February of 2013. If the album sold itself this well with no help, how much better can it do in the hands of a great label with solid publicity and distribution? The brand name and reputation of the franchise are already in place."

Compilation producer David Gasten is currently in the process of curating a second compilation for the franchise, which will be entitled This is Vintage Now Vol. 2. It will contain approximately fifteen artists from the US and the UK, and will follow the previous volume's careful attention to detail in sequencing, mastering, and art direction.
